Led by veteran director and producer, Dan Johnstone, Breaklight Pictures launched in 2020 with Steve Michaels’ now titled, Asylum Entertainment Group. We specialize in premium, filmmaker-driven documentary series that move, change, and emotionally engage audiences in dramatic ways. We like to say we’ll give you a front row seat to a world you’ve never seen before, or a backstage pass to a world you’ve only dreamed of entering. 

 

Some of our past shows include HILLSONG: A MEGACHURCH EXPOSED, AMERICAN CARTEL, and DETECTIVE DIARIES.  Our highly anticipated four-part documentary COWBOY CARTEL will premiere in Summer 2024 on APPLE TV+, and our new true-crime series with Elizabeth Chambers will debut on Investigation Discovery at the end of the year. We have a few more cooking, but you’re just going to have to wait and see what they are.
